NARUTO Shippuuden: Kizuna

Published by Whispered.Hope at 10:42 PM under Movies, NARUTO: Shippuuden | 2,225 views

Did they not make enough money with the first NARUTO Shippuuden movie, which surprisingly had no Sasuke flashbacks or parallels? Nothing really sells unless Sasuke is around, ka? Really have to push the NaruSasu in order to shy away from the Uchihacest after Itachi suddenly became a saint in the manga? With the second Shippuuden movie set to release in August, I wonder how far the series will reach by then, especially with all the breaks they’re having, this past week included. To have the two of them meet all of a sudden will require a decent basis, and going by the brief plotline on the website, it’s rather conflicting.

“Sasuke left the village to fulfill his goal of taking revenge on Itachi”…that happened two years ago. Of all the sneak glimpses we’ve seen of Sasuke in NARUTO, he wasn’t wearing his Oro-clone outfit until the Shippuuden timeline. Is this placed before the two meet for the first time? After he killed Orochimaru but before he created Hebi? Sometime in between? Although it doesn’t really matter where it fits in the timeline, since a movie has never had a direct effect on the series, it’s something you can’t help but think of. I personally can’t see Oro-freak letting Sasuke go after his brother prematurely, which means it’s sometime afterward, which is a place the series will definitely not be by August. And Sasuke comes off as a do-gooder, helping Naruto out so that a Second Shinobi War doesn’t happen. Why the hell would Sasuke care if another war breaks out? xD

The original trailer was released way back when during the one hour special of Episode 40 & 41, but with the semi-recent release of a second trailer, I decided to make a post because it’s Sas-tastic, ‘ttebayo. There’s no real difference between the original trailer and the extended version of it, other than the extended version being, well, extended, without a narrator for the words being shown and a little extra animation. The second trailer seems to continue where the first trailer left off. It’s a question of when, not whether, I’ll watch the movie, since the DVD won’t come up until 2009 and I refuse to watch a shabby taping of it since I couldn’t stand the one I watched for a previous NARUTO movie xD

In any case, I’m looking forward to it. Translations for both the plot on the site and the trailers will be given upon request.

Why wouldn’t Sasuke care about a secret war breaking out. Even though he is obsessed about his revenge doesn’t make him a bad person. I”m sure if the world depended on it he would be willing to help. Thats my point of view. most likely it does take place around after naruto and Sasuke already met since Sasuke wasn’t around Orochimaru although if he wanted to he could be alone anyways so it doesn’t matter.

I can’t wait to see the movie cause Sasuke is one of my favorite characters. But I think the last move was really good too, even without Sasuke. I’m sure they can pull the whole Sasuke and Naruto working together off, but we don’t know much of what happens or what will happen. Doesn’t matter to me either way it will still be awesome. ^_^

I’m a big harper of Sasuke being a misguided, albeit good, person. That’s my personal opinion, though. It’s been heavily shown that he puts other things above the good of others. Unless this war gets in the way of him extracting his revenge, that is the only logical reason he would get involved. I’d like to think he’d do it because it’d endanger his friends, but that’s going a little out there.

I also enjoyed the last movie. Naruto can never die, but it’s interesting to see all that happening. Either way, I just want to fangirl over Sasuke, so I can’t wait to see it.

Well the movie wasn’t that bad at least each time they make a movie the animation quality is decent which is to be expected, I was glad they threw in a Rock Lee fight scene which was all that was really the only thing that appeals to me. I think they should have less repeated techniques and focus more on some good old fashioned hand to hand combat either that or give Naruto Super Saiyan powers lol.

I’ve never been a fan of Naruto movies. For one the plot is always ridiculous. I mean, why the hell is Sasuke in it? I read that Oro ordered him to go after a man who can help him perfect his reincarnation jutsu, but it didn’t explain what was so imperfect with his jutsu already. The only thing I can think of is the three year time limit he has inside each container. But any improvements on the limit would affect the plot of the manga wouldn’t it?
    Bleh.
The only thing I’m looking forward to is the animation which, I must admit, is always incredible.
I thought this was quite cool though. I copied this straight from wiki:
“Sasuke goes back and gives Orochimaru the scroll, who then asks if something good had happened. Sasuke then goes off to train and remembers Naruto’s whisper “I’ll definitely bring you back to Konoha”"

I’m surprised they never mentioned how it all ended, seeing as it’s the same in every
    bloody
    movie.

“Naruto blasts the enemy miles off into the horizon with a multicoloured super charged Rasengan that he never uses again in his whole life since it’s level of coolness would make any other enemy explode just upon seeing it with their own eyes, making the fight less fun and ultimately resulting in a drop in ratings.”
