Despite how it looks on the outside, it's awesome! A lot of inspiration from Death Note though, Lelouch is practically the twin brother of light, right down to the amnesia now haha. Although i think lelouch isn't as consumed as light is...not yet anyway. It certainly would explain what appears to be a stark change in personality and philosophy. Maybe, just maybe, my hate of Suzaku would subside just a teensy, weensy bit if that happened to be true. Personally, I think the whole amnesia plot tool is waaay over used. I'm not saying it's terrible used here, but just, really, there needs to be a different way to convey the passing of a long period of time. I really enjoyed the parallels drawn to the first episode. And every time a Hei/Amber supporter told me (a Hei/Havoc supporter FUCK YEAH) that Havoc was a fugly bitch it hurt me inside.
