It’s always the quiet ones, ne? I knew Kanaru was really into Shadow Pulling, but who ever knew it was that deep? And I mean that literally as well, since that girl was feeling some things real deep. It really bothered me that she kept on lying to her friends to join up with her groupies and do some Pulling, but I guess it’s hard for someone to go cold turkey on a ‘drug’ like that. And I thought Megumi just released her Persona once when she was little, but it seems she has done it a little more recently as well, which surprises me.
Forcing one’s Persona out through Shadow Pulling doesn’t help one’s Persona, though. I wonder what took over and possessed Kanaru during a few scenes in Episode 11– and what the hell came out when she freaked at th end of the episode. I also wonder why the number of Persona users have dropped since “Inui’s time”. Is this why there are organizations to collect the most powerful left? Shin x Kanaru went up and down. I thought the slap was pure WIN, and he was there for her when she was relapsing. Kanaru’s attitude really bothered me this episode, though, so I don’t support them any more than I did before.

Since the last three weeks or so have been killing off someone, why should this week be any different? The only person I didn’t cry for was Patrick and that random guy in the medical room of Ptolemaios. Shows a lot about the impact Patrick’ death had on me despite the amount of airtime he’s been getting. It makes me wonder why he got all that time, no matter how little it was. Maybe to show the justification of Kathy’s future ‘I-want-revenge’ tantrum which is sure to come? I teared up at the little conversation Setsuna and Feldt had, though, because Sestuna saying that it was Haro that was truly lonely due to Lockon’s death was just too much. Who would’ve though Setsuna could say something so touching about Haro, something which technically isn’t really living?

So the one-sided Kazuki x Jin lovefest continues in this second-to-last episode of DTR. Even as a yaoi fangirl I find this relationship ridiculous. It’s made even more ridiculous by the fact that I think Kazuki is supposed to be the man but is really a groupie. He’s obsessed with Jin, and I can’t believe everyone can think of him as the good guy now. I mean, honestly, it’s great and all that he volunteered to protect the Avenir, and I’m sure it’s only the thought that counts, for without a dragon I can’t see how Kazuki can protect it from anything bigger than a fly. I won’t be surprised if Kazuki is alive after the upcoming final episode, for really, that’s all you need to top this train wreck of Kazuki’s story.
