PERSONA -trinity soul- - Episode 11 + 12

It’s always the quiet ones, ne? I knew Kanaru was really into Shadow Pulling, but who ever knew it was that deep? And I mean that literally as well, since that girl was feeling some things real deep. It really bothered me that she kept on lying to her friends to join up with her groupies and do some Pulling, but I guess it’s hard for someone to go cold turkey on a ‘drug’ like that. And I thought Megumi just released her Persona once when she was little, but it seems she has done it a little more recently as well, which surprises me.

Forcing one’s Persona out through Shadow Pulling doesn’t help one’s Persona, though. I wonder what took over and possessed Kanaru during a few scenes in Episode 11– and what the hell came out when she freaked at th end of the episode. I also wonder why the number of Persona users have dropped since “Inui’s time”. Is this why there are organizations to collect the most powerful left? Shin x Kanaru went up and down. I thought the slap was pure WIN, and he was there for her when she was relapsing. Kanaru’s attitude really bothered me this episode, though, so I don’t support them any more than I did before.

I felt the series really picked up in Episode 12. Everything up until this episode has been building up story, background and suspense. What seemed like a pointless trip to the hospital and having that conversation about the doctor (Komatsubara) who saved Jun was actually to show that he didn’t die, and is most likely the leader Marebito, or whatever that group is called. It sounded like they were talking about two different organizations. Komatsubara, who wants the Kanzato siblings’ Persona to carry out his wacky idea to basically destroy the world (as is the goal of all baddies).

We learn that Persona’s have a power that, while not limitless, can match a god’s, and is created from a person’s heart. Nevertheless, it seems not fully controllable, though Takurou has already shown this. Perhaps it is because it’s from the heart that makes it hard to tame– unless you have an unwavering heart, it will not obey you.  It also apparently is a rarity for grown ups to still have Persona’s, as is the case with Ryou, who we learn takes pills in order to keep his Persona in check.

Now the same officers who have been tailing him since forever are aware of the drug transfer, and although Eiko stopped them from following the car, what she asked them to do for her concering Ryou sounds incredibly suspicious. At first, I thought she was trying to help Ryou by blocking them, but now I feel like she’s sort of against him, only because she truly worries for him, as it’s been bluntly revealed that she loves the eldest Kanzato. Shin actually seemed happy for the two of them but I guess it was just a front for he was all frowns when she drove away. It pisses me off that he likes her, and Jun’s comment about Shin’s jealously was really odd to me.

Inui apparently works with Ryou, if the footage he taped is now in his hands, and they were talking to each other, I believe, throughout most of this episode. Who is he really? And I can’t, for the life of me, remember who that guy Mayuri found is. When did Shin defeat him? Touma’s also really dead, since what’s his face confirmed it. Who was it that confronted Ryou and Mayuri, then? A ploy by the other organzation?

In any case, a showdown has been called and things are moving forward. Can’t wait for the next episode, as it seems we might lose Ryou. That’ll really set off Shin. P.S. Shin in a frilly apron was HOT.

Inui? There’s this theory that he’s Ken Amada from Persona 3 - someone said the kanji for their names can sound alike? If you compare Ken and Inui they do bear a slight resemblance to each other, but I can’t really buy Inui as an older Ken, though their ages would fit. Ken is around 10-12 in Persona 3 and Inui in his early twenties probably, but that’s the only thing I can come up with. Still, I think it’s likely.

The Touma Saki saw was some sort of construction, I think. By who I haven’t a clue. I guess there’s a possibility of a third party but the Touma thing is really bothering me.

Btw, do you know how old Saki is? I might have asked this before; I’m sorry if I did.

    RYOU/EIKO FUCK YEAH XD

Who was Ken in Persona 3? Like, what was his role?

Haha, this Touma thing is really becoming something big, ne?

I’m not sure how old Saki is. You mean Mayuri, ne? If she’s Kanaru’s friend, I’d assume they’re the same age– 17.

LOL, you’re a real big RyouEiko fan, eh? xD They’re starting to grow on me. I just wish I knew what Eiko was up to.

I’ve only read the manga adaption, sorry. He was the adorable preteen sidekick who was much smarter (and much more angry) than he let on.

I prefer Saki to Mayuri, even though Mayuri probably is her real name. I don’t buy her as 17! XD When she has her hair unstraightened she looks considerably older than 17 - more like twenty-somethingish. DX

HAHAHAHA YES XD They need a celebrity couple’s name. Like Eiyou. Ryko. Something.
