Butterfly Dreams

I knew there would be a one-hour special for when we truly caught up to the fast-forward in the one-hour special that begun the Time Skip season of NARUTO, but to be fair all the running around from the past episode or two was shown in the first episode. In any case, the animation quality is worse than during the 1st episode, but some of the art that was changed or cut out due to impending spoilers (Sakura never grabbed onto Sai in the 1st episode, nor did she speak to him, etc.) was done nicely (like Sakura’s full facial expression). Some flashbacks were well placed and others were questionable, as if we needed more fuel for NaruSasuNaru hints. I even got SaiNaru vibes, because that “I think he’ll be able to make me feel again” line was absoultely cheesy.

I was beginning to think that I imagined Sai’s true mission for it took forever to reach it. Though I guess it didn’t really matter, since he wasn’t going to go through with it anyway.  This arc should be ending next episode, but again no promises there, knowing how they like to draw things out and all. The next arc I think will be the Team 10 one, but I’m not sure because I didn’t follow the manga too much after that since Sasuke wasn’t around xDD I know the biggest spoiler about the Team 10 arc, though, so that’s all that I really need to know. It should make watching NARUTO more enjoyable since I won’t know exactly what should happen.

And hey~, was that Asuma and Kurenai during one of the secret keyword spots? They’re so cute together, ne? If only… T__T
