PERSONA -trinity soul- - Episode 9 +10

If you were having major deja vu going on in the beginning of Episode 10, you’re not alone. These two episodes happen in the same time frame, but I guess they decided to split it instead of shortening the scenes and go back and forth. Compared to a similar tatic done with Rental Magica, I like the way PERSONA has done it much better. And of the two episodes, I enjoyed Episode 10 more.
Episode 9 had a lot of talking where as Episode 10 had much more action and scene changes to keep it fresh, but the graphics with the feathers at the end of Episode 9 was simply amazing. It was also interesting to hear more about Jun and Yuki. I’m still sorting through the philosophical talk, though. And the whole thing about ten years ago, including the random woman and hospitalized man. And I don’t like Shin with that woman.

And while I’m on the topic of couples, are they seriously trying to make that stalking cop guy a contender for Kanaru? Against Shin?! I got that kind of impression that the guy liked her from all that freaky stalking, job or not. He should’ve seriously stopped when he was caught. What’s even weirder is that I can see that pairing even more than Shin x Kanaru!! And (oh, I’m so bad with names), the dog dude, was he sublty trying to show the tape he had of the Persona’s to the cop?
Anyway, now that Mayuri knows that Ryou’s the brother of Shin and Jun, their group could definitely make some headway in aquiring Shin and sticking it to Ryou. Well, that would be the case, but I think Mayuri’s really caught up on Touma, who doesn’t seem to be dead. Or is a Zombie. Or something. I think the body at the morgue is a fake, as in a doll and not human… The point is, she’s so hung up on it that relaying that vital information to the leader is the farthest from her mind at the moment.
And I’m happy Jun was able to see the Bear movie. Greatest moment ever was when Ryou cried. And was Jun the one who saved his brother from the red-headed girl? Or was Ryou’s persona still able to function when he seemed under? I’m really starting to wonder about that red-headed girl.
I’m glad you’re blogging PTS. DX I think nearly everyone’s dropped it by now.
Shin and Eiko together make me shudder. I think she’s gravitating towards Ryou, and I still see Shin as a lone hero type guy, so anyone with him, much less Eiko, I dislike. Ryou/Shin/Jun (someone suggested that to me a few days ago) is horrifying but that’s only because shota and incest are not my thing. But yeah, Ryou and Eiko FTW? It makes a hell of a lot of sense. And it’s cute.
I don’t know - the cop is a pretty sweet man. I think he and Kanaru would make a nice couple; it’s much more preferable than Shin/Kanaru. Cop/Dog guy (Inui) sounds adorable but only for the lulz.
I think Touma was previously dead but brought back to life - though I can’t really get any ideas at to how this happened. Either way, I feel sorry for Saki. I don’t really see her relationship with Touma ending very well despite what I’d like (they’re a sweet couple) so I predict there to be lots more angs between those two.
About the red-haired girl - one of the theories I like the most is that she’s the Whale Feathers story character brought to life. I’m not sure how that would work out, either, but I like it. XD
It was Jun who interrupted her, I think. Lol, Ryou. Best moment ever agreed.
(Sorry for typing so much O_o)
PTS still remains my favourite 2008 Winter Season series, so there’s no way I’ll drop it ^__^
I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Eiko and Shin together. He needs to get over his stupid child crush. And I don’ think the cop man and Kanaru is a bad match– I like them, actually. I just thought it was weird to support a couple where one was stalking the other xDD Mm, I can’t see Shin with anyone yet, and I wouldn’t be disappointed if he ended up alone. He can carry himself.
If I can get over the feeling I have that Ryou’s using Eiko, then maybe I can support that pairing. And ROFL @ the three way incest pairing. That passed through my mind once. And I got a real Cop/Inui vibe, too, purely for laughs as well. That was jokes.
But definitely Touma and Mayuri all the way. The flashback of the two of them together is cute. I hope it ends well despite the odds of that happening.
Aa, I never heard of that theory! It’s an interesting one. It’s definitely gone from her seeming like a threat to wanting to help, though whose side she’s on is still a mystery.
And it’s okay that you wrote a lot ^^ Me likies.
Persona is one of my fave Winter shows too, but my laziness has been keeping me from posting about the last 3 episodes lol. ^^;;
Seeing Shin all over Eiko-neechan made me shudder or cringe a little… Of course it goes without saying that I don’t like seeing them together =/
Eiko should be perceptive enough to know that Shin has a crush on her… she should just hurry and tell him she can only see him as a brother, so the poor guy can move on =___=
Saki and Touma are really sweet… I liked them even more as a couple with episode 11. It seems that they’ve been through a lot already, and I can’t help but feel sad for Saki. I’m hoping Touma is still alive, somehow >_<
Oh, good. I write a tremendous amount - this series gets no love at all so when I meet someone’s who watching it…XD
Man, I’m going to be so sad when this show’s over. I haven’t followed anything for years (since Sex in the City and Friends, YEAH I KNOW I’M LAME XD) so I’ve grown really fond of it. It’s better than going on forever, though.
