Rental Magica - Episode 17 + 18
Despite the fact that Addie managed to steal Itsuki’s first probable kiss, I don’t see her winning the battle over Itsuki in the long run. I see Honami winning that one…man, I really need to stop favouring childhood friend relationships xD; Although I say that, I’m not a big fan of Itsuki and Honami, nor Itsuki and Addie. I actually like Kuroha with Itsuki, and she has the least chance with him. But Itsuki sacrificed himself to save Honami, and Honami struggled through school to become a mage to protect him, so it’s a story I find sweet.
The beginning of Episode 18 gave me major deja vu…so much so that I thought I was rewatching Episode 17. I guess they were trying to show that this episode occurs at the same time frame as the previous one. Saying that, it’s very interesting to see the events happen through another’s eyes– namely Sekiren and Daphne. I didn’t like Sekiren’s sudden declaration of love to Daphne, and I’m not sure if he meant it or not. Either way, I’m glad Daphne’s not rushing into that one. To learn that Daphne’s actually Addie’s half sister was like whoa. It explains a lot, and I like how they explain why they don’t look similiar (besides the fact that they have different mothers). I wonder if Addie will ever find out– I personally hope she does. It was kinda weird that Daphne was more concerned with the fact that Gara tricked Clive than Gara tricking her father, but whatever.
