NARUTO - Chapter 386

No, it’s not a line from some ItaSasu fanfic.

I was actually going to do Shippuuden 44 first, but then this chapter was far more interesting, so I did this one xD I really gotta stop with NARUTO. -sees all but two posts revolving around the series- In any case, I said last time that either a fight had to start, or the conversation had to pick up, and I got the latter, with the promise of a fight next chapter. If they continue with the Uchiha’s next chapter. Which I don’t doubt, considering everything seems to revolve around that family– or so Hinano ranted about in her post on the chapter. In a way I agree, and in a way I don’t, but either way I’m not bothered by it–and it’s truthfully not because I’m unnaturally obsessed with Sasuke. I don’t think anyone will believe me after saying that, though, so I won’t bother to convince you.

I was only half right about Itachi wanting to keep Sasuke alive– he did for himself, yes, but not for his younger brother to kill him for his impending blindness like I thought. That must’ve been a lapse of judgement on my part, because Itachi is a freakin’ nut job. I mean, truly pychotic. Itachi says he wants to escape their clans messed up destiny, but believe me, you’re waist deep in their shit, buddy. As far as Madara was…is…whatever.

The only thing interesting about Madara this chapter was the fact it’s more or less confirmed that Tobi is Madara, since Tobi is the leader of Akatsuki, and Madara founded and heads Akatski (although I’m still not certain if that means he still leads it now). I was kinda hoping Tobi was Obito, as impossible as that was, and that he wanted Sasuke so they could join up and get rid of Itachi and Madara together, or so my brain was hoping for. It could still happen, since I’m sure Tobi’s aware of Itachi’s plan, though it’ll be for less than noble intentions, like just using Sasuke to get rid of a threat.

I’m convinced that Sasuke is the only sane one in that family, and again, not because I’m a devote fangirl. If he doesn’t kill himself (or gets himself killed) after killing Itachi and Madara, I can’t see him wanting to revive his clan after hearing the truth about it (and a resounding ‘yay’ from my NaruSasu fangirl). That, or he’ll want to change his clan’s destiny so it won’t go in that direction. What I’m really interested in seeing is Naruto’s take on hearing that his beloved best friend’s family is the reason he suffered through everything. In fact, I’m suprised Sasuke wasn’t the one being ridiculed instead of Naruto growing up, since Naruto’s father freakin’ saved everyone and Sasuke’s relative sicked the Kyuubi on the villiage in the first place. The Elders surely should’ve known it was Madara.

After this, I’m also starting to believe the reason Itachi told Sasuke the night he killed their parents is actually true. I wouldn’t be surprised anymore, frankly. Itachi is more hell-bent on power than Oro-freak is. I still don’t understand why they killed them at all, though. They don’t want anymore users of the Mangekyou? That’s the only reason I could think of. That, or Fugaku knew Itachi knew the secret of the clan and wanted to stop him.
