NARUTO Shippuuden: Kizuna

Did they not make enough money with the first NARUTO Shippuuden movie, which surprisingly had no Sasuke flashbacks or parallels? Nothing really sells unless Sasuke is around, ka? Really have to push the NaruSasu in order to shy away from the Uchihacest after Itachi suddenly became a saint in the manga? With the second Shippuuden movie set to release in August, I wonder how far the series will reach by then, especially with all the breaks they’re having, this past week included. To have the two of them meet all of a sudden will require a decent basis, and going by the brief plotline on the website, it’s rather conflicting.

CLANNAD the Movie

Published by Whispered.Hope under CLANNAD the Movie

Aa, gomen, Hopey’s been lazy and busy and whatnot. She’ll probably do a combined late Spring impression post, but she had to do one for the CLANNAD movie after it’s been sitting on her HD since forever and brought her to tears at the end. A good chunk of the movie is a very condensed version of the anime series with notable changes to make it all fit. Or maybe that’s how the story really goes and they just dragged it out in the series. In any case, I liked how the series went more where that’s concerned. kure-nai - First Episode

Published by Whispered.Hope under 2008 Spring Season

I was completely lost for the first half of the episode. I didn’t know what was going on or why I was watching it, but after Shintaro and Murasaki met, I really liked the chemistry between them. Murasaki’s an adorable girl for being rich and Shintaro has that pathetic quality that just makes me want to hug him. When I first read the premise I thought Benika was the rich girl he was supposed to protect, and Murasaki was his sister, but it turned out nicely this way, too. Now I’m wondering what kind of organizatin Benika runs, what connection she has to Murasaki, and how Shintaro is a part of it at his age. By the brief flashback, I’m guessing Benika took him in when he was small. But isn’t he too young to be mediating dangerous situations like that? Benika said something about obtaining a new body, which could mean he’s not human?
